One of the Pedro Spots in TTC
A Pedro Spot is a small place in 3d space between a ceiling and a floor, where the player can get stuck.
It was discovered by Pedro Viktor[1] and is very powerful and helpful in the ABC because, thanks to this very interesting property, the player stuck can generate a lot of speed quickly.
History of Pedro Spot[]
Sometime in early 2015, a man known as Pedro Viktor posted a video on the ABC crews Facebook group, showing him getting stuck in CCM in an area. Pannen describes it as "A place where Mario seemed to get stuck, a place where Mario could both Jump, and Groundpound. So the question is... was Mario on the ground or in the air?"
No one really knew how it worked for a few months until Gaehne D. looked into it. This is where the Pedro Spot started to become useful for the ABC challenge.
Pedro Spot Uses[]
So far, ten have been found: three in Cool Cool Mountain, one in the cabin slide [1], one in Vanish Cap under the Moat, a theoretical one on Tiny Huge Island, four in Tick Tock Clock (which reduced Stomp on the Thwomp to 2x A presses), and a possible one in Peach's Castle.[2]
